Simple recipe for a tasty appetizer! served warm or at room temperature. it consists of boiled artichokes where you would pick the leaves one by one and dip them in a lemon olive oil garlic sauce and eat the edible part of it!

What do you need?
4 artichokes globe
1 lemon cut into wedges
Juice of 1 lemon
1 garlic clove minced
Extra virgin olive oil
salt to taste
How to proceed?
Prepare the artichokes: cut the stem and remove the hardest leaves from the outside layer .
Bring a pot of water to a boil, add some salt and lemon wedges. Add the clean artichokes and cook for about 20 to 30 minutes or until the artichokes are soft.
Remove from water and place the artichoke upside down in a strainer to drain the water.
Put each artichoke on an individual serving plate
In a bowl, mix lemon juice, minced garlic, extra virgin olive oil and salt. Wisk all the ingredients together and transfer into a serving bowl.
Pick the cooked artichokes leaves one by one and dip them in the lemon olive oil garlic sauce and eat the tip of it then discard.
When you reach the heart remove the hairy choke and discard. Then dip the heart into the prepared sauce and enjoy the flavours!
