Did you know that kids who don't like vegetable soup love button soup?
An old book has inspired us since our children were two years old.
We went to the market to choose the vegetables (over time we even let choose them independently and the result was delicious).
Once home they washed the vegetables, cut them and put them in the pot. The last secret touch to give the soup a special flavor is a magic button (choose bone or wood, not plastic or lacquered and remove it as soon as your child is distracted).
We don't think it's a coincidence that they still love button soup today! The recipe is very easy: take all the seasonal vegetables you like: turnips, celery, cabbage, carrot, pumpkin, leek, garlic, potato, cauliflower, cut them into small pieces, add water a little salt and cook until carrot (or the hardest vegetable you have chosen) will be soft. Pass through a vegetable mill and serve with croutons of warm bread.
