Fresh mango salsa

This fresh and juicy Mango Salsa is made with easy ingredients: fresh mangoes, red onion, jalapeño, cilantro, and lime. It is surprisingly an explosion of flavor: it’s sweet, savory, and only a little spicy. It can be eaten as a dip with nachos chips or on top of tacos.

Ingredients for 4 people

What do you need?


  • 3 ripe mangoes peeled and cut into small cubes.

  • 1/4 cup of chopped cilantro, loosely packed.

  • 1/2 cup of diced red onion.

  • 1 jalapenos, diced (seeds removed if you don’t want it spicy).

  • 1 lime, zested and juiced.

  • 1/4 teaspoon of granulated sugar.

  • Salt to taste.

  • Chili powder to taste.


How to proceed?


  1. In a serving bowl, add all ingredients. Toss together until combined.

  2. Season to taste with salt. let the salsa rest for 10 to 20 minutes

  3. Serve immediately.


Notes

  • you can refrigerate any leftover salsa in a sealed container for up to 3 days.

  • As a variant to this recipe you can add cucumber or red bell pepper as desired.
