Guacamole

Guacamole a Mexican salsa that has become part of international cuisine as a dip and condiment.

Ingredients for 4 people

What do you need?


  • 3 very ripe avocados.

  • 1 spring onion.

  • The juice of 1 lime.

  • 1 teaspoon of freshly chopped cilantro leaves.

  • Salt to taste.

  • Chili pepper (optional).

  • 4 cherry tomatoes.


How to proceed?


  1. Mash together onions, cilantro and chilies. U can use a mortar and pestle or a food processor.

  2. Cut the avocados in half discard pits, and spoon out the flesh into a medium bowl.

  3. Roughly mash it with a fork untill you have a creamy consistency. (Some prefer to lightly smash avocado and keep it more chunky, while some others prefer a more creamy guacamole).

  4. Add the onion cilantro mixture.

  5. Add the tomatoes cut into cubes.

  6. Season to taste with salt and lime juice.

  7. Serve immediately with tortilla chips.
