We love to travel in this time of the year, the days get longer and the weather is sunny and not too hot yet. Therefore we took the opportunity to visit Genoa and its surroundings.
We spent the first day discovering the city, famous since the Middle Ages for being one of the most powerful maritime cities of the Mediterranean Sea, often in contrast to Venice; the historic center is very fascinating, with narrow streets full of life that led us to the port, where we enjoyed a view from the top of the panormaic wheel and visited the famous aquarium.
We certainly did not miss good food and we tried the Ligurian rabbit and stuffed squid in a famous tavern in the old city. The next day was reserved to discover the colorful village of Camogli, where we ate the best focaccia in the world and finally on the small beach in front of the abbey of San Fruttuoso where We ended the day with a pasta with pesto overlooking the sea!
