In our first SPIN THE SPOON adventure, our spoon pointed to Central Europe!
Recipes from Central Europe take culinary tips from Austria, Poland, Hungary, northern Italy and Slovenia.
If We have to describe in one word the central European cuisine, we would choose “historical”. That is right: this cuisine has its roots in the tradition of the Austro-Hungarian Empire and was nurtured by the gastronomic influences of Central Europe.
In typical dishes of this culinary tradition, various flavors and textures often coexist: the smoked sausage, the spiciness of Liptauer and Goulash, the sweetness of the apple strudel, the tenderness of the knödel (canederli dumplings or bread gnocchi), and the crunchiness of the toasted pine nuts. A real mix, as we like it.
From your home kitchen, have a quick tour in central Europe by making and tasting those dishes!
